You have to be kidding. You sold your C8 after owning it for 11 months and surely made a handsome profit and have the guts to to ask for another one at MSRP. Did you order another one at the dealer where you got it for $500 under when you got your first one. Poor planing on your part. Wait like everyone else.
Cancel my request, just got off the phone with a local dealer. I’m number one on the list for a Z06 at Msrp. You don’t know unless you ask🎉🎉
After reading this thread, I have to ask: which dealer did you call and get their #1 slot for a Z06? Most dealers have been keeping lists since 2019 and when Ciocca started taking deposits they had more deposits in 15 minutes than they were going to get allocations for in 3-4 years.
Just love the forum here, if someone has some positive news another will shut you down. That’s ok life is short so enjoy everything you can
I'm not trying to "shut you down." It's just with the high demand for the Z06 and the largest Corvette dealer in the world asking for $3k more on top of the initial deposit of $2k your claim seemed highly improbable.
Now that you've acknowledged you won't have a car until 2024 it makes much more sense.

you are probably right it most likely be a 2024, but of all the dealers I have talked to 4 to 5 years out. I was first in line at my dealer for the Z06 msrp since 2020 and was told 2 weeks ago it was going to be 50k over msrp. So to make a long story short had to start all over
this will be my 2nd C8, The bubble is going to break like it has on all generations of Corvette. The dealers lots are going to be full of them in afew years, pick any model or color. We have been through this how many times before.
In a few years, maybe. Next spring? Not a chance. LOL.
Call a bunch of dealers and maybe find an open allocation. I don’t know if any dealers read this forum—other than the supporting dealers who we can assume are loaded with orders.
Op there are 3000 Chevy dealers in the country and most sell corvettes. There are many alternatives as you found out if you have the time and are creative.
My dealer called me in august and had an extra allocation, he’s sold 3 c8s, I picked the car up in late October…..he asked during delivery if I want on his z06 list, I said sure and also the eray. No deposit and when he gets an allocation I should be good.
Why would a very small-volume dealer put you 1st or second on their list, right now, to sell a C8 Z06 @ MSRP? When they get the car they can likely sell it WAY over MSRP.
I say there's a good chance when the car comes in they won't still sell it to you @ MSRP unless the market bubble completely popped, which I highly doubt will be the case for the C8 Z06, at least not in the next 2 years or so.
The High volume dealers such as MacMulkin and Criswell agree to MSRP, because of the fact they are high volume, make their money in that volume and do it to maintain good relations with a huge customer base.
The Little guys aren't going to hand you are car for a price they can sell for $50k higher, unless they are close personal friends maybe.
This begs the question,,,, How long do we expect this to last before supply catches up with demand and prices start to come down?
I think we can expect demand to remain higher than supply for a long time. Consider this: even if supply chain improvements are made and the number of C8s built starts to increase, starting in 2023 model year there will be 3 configurations competing for production. The Z06 and the Europe bound right hand drive Stingray will both be produced, taking spots away from left hand drive Stingrays.

Hope you're right. I will be taking possession of my C8 hopefully next month. Ultimately, I would like to drive it till my Z06 comes and sell it and not lose to much money.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
