Default Suede Seats

If you have the L3 seats that are suede what are you using to clean them? I have a small stain and don’t want to put anything liquid on them.

Suggestions?

It's not real suede. Alcantara or whatever trade name they go by is about 70/30 polyester and plastic.

Mild soap and water will make it look like new.

Do you have those seats and have you cleaned them that way? I purchased a used C8 and there is a stain on the passenger seat. This material seems like it could get dirty easily compared to leather. I just don’t want to cause more damage by using the wrong product to clean them.

Thanks for your advice.

There are instructions under vehicle care in the owners manual.

Completely agree on this stuff for Alcantara. Follow the instructions.

No I don't have those. I prefer real leather seating surfaces. I hate to be that guy but if you Google Alcantara all your fears will be eased. It's not leather or some magic cloth, It's 30% plastic lol

It's microfiber, which is extremely easy clean and very resilient.

Gotta love old timers who feel the Corvette leather is "real" like it's some Italian exotic.

I'm 40. Not sure what age bracket it puts me in that I can Google things for myself...

What age age group do you belong to when you can't even clean your car seats without asking strangers for help.

And yes, I prefer the real leather that has a protective polyurethane coating on it so crap wipes right off it
