Default v8/v4 lite

i was wondering why a v8/v4 shows up
in the sorta left bottom of the tach on
the instrument panel. looked in the manual
couldn't find mention of it????
thanks for any help in advance
ps i've been driving in tour mode

It's telling you when the car is using all 8 cylinders or only 4... It's how you get great gas mileage on the highway.

That is the cylinder deactivation indicator. Page 194 in your owner's manual for 2022, page 197 for 2021 owners manual, page 169 for 2020 owners manual.

All C8 Corvettes have AFM (Active Fuel Management). Under low load conditions the engine can deactivate 4 cylinders to increase fuel efficiency during cruising and low throttle around town cruising. This feature allows the Corvette to continue to beat the EPA Gas Guzzler Tax.

Cylinders 2, 3, 5 and 8 are the deactivation cylinders.
