How much has production actually been disrupted? I am awaiting a build date around Jan 14th or so. How much will this planned holiday and the tornado shutdown delay my build day?

My guess is the holiday shutdown was factored into your build date...so nothing should change, but just guessing!

My understanding was that they only worked 1 shift instead of 2 per day the week after the storm. Figure accordingly.

Also all the cars lost will not be put to the very front of the line, but will be put in as quickly as those cars that were already sequenced have been producted.

They lost about 1 shift worth of cars from the storm.

Your guess is as good as mine.

Sucks to have your build date delayed, but some things were just out of GMs control. The delay should not have too much of an impact on getting your car built.

According to the production statistics (2022 Production Spreadsheet), they produced an average of 176 per day for the 4 work day week of 12/20. That's only slightly down from a full 2 shifts output.

So it depends what your VIN is.

Colors of replacement cars must be factored into the paint schedule, as well.

You can't. They don't build batches of the same color. Colors will be intermixed on the line:

176 is the estimated production for two shifts.
They produced the following for the week of 12/20
12/20 6
12/21 124
12/22 155
12/23 137
12/24 No report.

Hopefully all will be up to speed tomorrow.

My understanding is that the replacements for the 125 or so damaged C8s will take precedence. The wait may be a while longer.
