Default Museum/Corvette Experience

Didn't see this question anywhere else and I most often come here so I will ask it here. How long does it take to tour the museum? Planning to drive up from Huntsville in the near future to check it out. I might look at doing it in Apr when I can possibly do the Corvette Experience...would love to try the C8 on a track similar to what I did in my own car (non-Vette). Has anyone ever done the experience at the track?

Touring the museum can take anywere from 2-4 hours, depending on how long you stay at each exhibit and whether you read the majority of the explanatory signs at each exhibit. Of course, it could take longer too. Lots of things to see and info to take in. Then of course is the retail store where there are lots of goodies to purchase, the Corvette Cafe for a meal, and the archives area where you can get info on your car. Well worth the time to make the visit.

While there, consider becoming a member of the museum - the membership fee helps keep the museum up and running and they arre always looking to improve the exhibits and historical archives they have there. I've been a member coming up on 32 years and do not regret it for one minute.

Since the tornado went right through the motorsports park, I believe it will be closed for quite a while. Many of the buildings were heavily damaged, and I saw that it is closed for the foreseeable future.

I did exactly what you want to do before I decided to buy my C8. The track experience was worth every penny. As mentioned above, it may be awhile before you can experience the track. Huntsville is a day trip to the museum and you can breeze through it under two hours and feel you got your money's worth.

We had a 10:00 timeslot, and honestly felt a little rushed trying to fit everything in and get on the road by 3:30 for some of our party to make it to Nashville for their flight home.

I was definitely surprised. We actually had to run out for fast food to eat, because the Cafe at the museum was taking super long.

Approximate timeline was:
9:45-10:15 Introduction to museum guide, paperwork (including getting window sticker and build sheets laminated, etc).
10:15-11:30 Car walkthrough
11:30-12:35 Museum (I actually could have spent more time in the museum, but went at a quicker pace due to knowing our schedule was a bit tight)
12:35-12:45: Museum store
12:45-12:50: Looked at car a bit
12:50-1:15 waited at cafe but left because they hadn't even taken our drink orders and we had to be at Motorsports park by 1:45
1:20-1:45: Quick sandwiches at gas station (Wendy's was closed and we were in a hurry. They were actually pretty decent)
1:45-3:00 Motorsports park laps (plus 10 minutes or so checking out all the cars in the museum prep area by the track)
3:05-3:20 Corvette Boulevard exit ride, wave to adoring fans , pictures outside

The NCM Motorsports park has started allowing guests on the track again, even though the facilities are still damaged: https://www.wnky.com/ncm-motorsports...ter-tornadoes/

@DarthMaliceM1 if you are wanting to do the Corvette Experience, you may want to go ahead and sign up for it, it looks like they may be sold out up to April: https://book.peek.com/s/bdf5867b-553...abedc880/zg2mw

I expected the track thing to be a big disappointment. It turned out to be the best thing of the whole delivery experience even though it was raining. I've said it before; you'll never have any concept of a C8's capabilities unless you've had it on a track. It blew me away.
