Default Windshield reflection

I have a C8 3LT with natural interior, the problem is the bright reflection on the windsheild. Does anyone market a lay over product in black that would eliminate that situation?

Two options:
  1. Polarized sunglasses
  2. Sell car, buy new one with black dash

I think putting any sort of cover/mat will just look bush league and cheapen the car massively.

I don't recall anyone mentioing anything specific and I would agree that the search function here is not everything that you would want it to be, however, if you run a search on the issue, you may find a solution as this topic has been heavily discussed on the forum.

Hey TomRest...I don't have the natural interior, but when I was using this forum as a resource before placing my order, I recall several people mentioning the issues with windshield reflection. Here are a few threads that talk specifically about different issues people are having with the natural interior. Hope they help!

You can buy the dash part in front of the driver in black. Supposed to be a fairly easy install.

yes, selling the car makes sense, if you are on crack.

Yup, known problem/complaint since the 2020 models were produced, Lots of discussion on this, Porsche 911 owners had the same problem, only resolution is a black dash cover, Kinda sucks.

I have Natural Dipped and like my 2014 C7 3LT Kalahari, you can look through it!

If you can't or don't want to, I found a $12.99 solution that eliminates it 100%.

Folks said polarized glasses can eliminate it and have never used them. I wear Progressive/Transition glasses so bought clip-ons. Found Yellow did virtually nothing but a Rose/Brown eliminated it 100%. Hard to believe but they work! I just made HUD brighter, and it is fine. However, I look right thru the glare that is mostly around HUD. So my Polarized Clip-Ons are in a case in the console. Never bother to use them as for me NOT NEEDED.

Default no end in sight.....

The silliness continues. We have a Natural Dipped interior. Can't imagine having any other. Buy what you want. If you want others to decide for you works for me.

Just curious what replacement of those panels cost? Couldn’t have been cheap.

wondering also about cost and time to install, plus if you can post a photo of what the glare looks like now?

They go by both names in parts catalogs. Be aware that they come in different versions depending on color and if you have the HUD or not.

My F430 had tan leather interior and no glare. But I think that is because the entire interior, even the headliner, was leather, not just the seat inserts as on the C8. I have no idea what the dash cover is made of in the C8. Maybe Alcantra?

Do you wear polarized sunglasses in the "bright reflection" situations in your C8?
