The first OTA updates did not go smoothly for some (although I never personally experienced any issues). Since that time, GM got the OTA’s worked out. No reason to fear them going forward.

My 2020 has never received an OTA update (I have them enabled). When I went in for my first service in November 2021 there were several updates that needed to be installed. I asked why I didn't receive any OTA updates and they told me they did an update to the system to address this but I still haven't received any OTA updates (if there were any).
Has anyone seen anything that suggests OTA updates will continue once the bumper to bumper warranty is up? Is there an official policy about this anywhere?

Yes I have had 2 OTA since October. The system asks if you want to upgrade now or later. I upgrade when I park and am leaving the car at home. I believe you need internet connection so if you park somewhere there is no internet the upgrade may not happen.

I believe the downloads can also be performed over the 4G network. In any case, my car has access to the internet when sitting in my garage. I have confirmed that the car can connect to my home Wi-Fi network as well as my phone's mobile hotspot. But I have never received a notification that a vehicle update is available. And when I went into update history before I brought my car in for its first service there were no updates listed.
