Default Welcome Package issues

Does anyone know any specifics regarding the Welcome gift. I have checked numerous time with Concierge, and I don't receive a good answer as to the delay. I've been waiting 10 months. Others friends have taken delivery long after me & have already receive their welcome kit.

I don't have an answer for you, but after reading similar threads for the past couple of years I suspect shipping is based on car color. They run out of a model color, then have to wait for another color run. Of course, only the original titled owner will receive one. What color is your car?

My 21 HTC was built 6/21/21 paid on 7/1/21
thru MacMulkin they registered car with GM and OnStar. I received my gift/desk model January 8th. The enclosed Thank you card from GM
also listed my dealer MacMulkin.
I would suggest talking to your dealer or possibly Shane at the Corvette museum. The museum has contacts at the plant and they might be able to provide how the gift process works!

Are you certain your C8 purchase was a retail sold order? My ELB speed shape model took about 7 months to receive.

This thread reminds me of the hysteria on the C6 forum a few years back. Someone posted that Chevy would supply, free-of-charge, a seat belt extender (designed for those too large for a standard seat belt) and all one had to do was order from the local parts counter. A bunch went out and ordered one even though it was superfluous. Kinda like the free C8 model that Chevy sends out at their timetable.

Ten months does seem too long. 2017 NGDS SGBE has some good suggestions.

I received my gift 10 months after the car was delivered.

It seems like they are produced and shipped in batches. I remember there was more chatter on this forum when people received their gifts. I also remember a couple different colors where being received, not just one color.

We should do a poll: Who has not received their gift after one year of ownership (actual delivery).

Took 9 months for mine which arrive a few weeks ago.

There seems to be no rhyme nor reason to when they arrive, or how long after delivery. People who got their cars months after I did got their kits before I did, and some who took delivery before me still haven't gotten them.

Have you moved in the interim? If so, FedEx won't know where to find you.

Say for instance that you have a Torch Red C8 and the model that you receive is Rapid Blue. With the VIN included as part of the display, a future buyer may think your C8 was repainted and this could affect resale value.

I got mine in about 5 months.
It’s sad to hear people anxiously waiting for 10 months when I got mine in half the time, took one peak and it’s been in the box ever since. I’m not exactly sure what to do with it.
