Is this emblem available for the engine cover as a separate part somewhere?

 

I haven’t seen any that size yet and it was most likely painted. I ended up using the a larger front emblem on mine as shown

 

That's painted. There is no C8 emblem that matches that size.

 

I also used the front end one also. I think it looks great.

All are made in China. The reviews are all good. This place has a lot of GM emblems (could be GM's source?)
I cannot vouch as to the quality of the part. Mine is still in transit!
I am painting my cover (there are plenty of instructional videos on youtube for that)
I want to paint mine edge red. Someone indicated that Barcelona Red Metallic is a close match.
Also, you can find emblem installation instructions here: There may be others here on this forum that have a better way to adhere the emblem.

 

I went with the GM parts' chrome hood ornament on my Edge Red engine cover. Initially concerned that the proportion would not look right, but think it looks great after installing it. Adhered with some double-sided Gorilla tape, and hasn't budged.

I agree with your original concern. The proportions definitely do not look right. It is too big. Just my opinion. If you like it, who cares what I think!

 

Just noticed that Chevy is using the full size emblem on the engine cover of the Z06. Now I don’t feel dumb for doing it on mine 😅😂

The cover is so busy anyway, what difference would the size of the emblem, any emblem make?

I'm trying to find out if it's possible to source it in that size.... Probably would require a very large order.

I painted my black cover emblem for practice.

Will paint the edge red one next.

 

I just looked at my Jake Mats and looks like they would be a perfect fit (only eyeballed it) so someone is making a smaller emblem.

i need to take a closer look as it’s most likely plastic with a hard coat but looks to be a perfect sizes. I’m surprised that no one on the aftermarket has done one yet.

 

Very interested if this is close to the right size. 2.85" x 2.85". I don't think I'd buy mats only to rip it off, but it might be possible to work with them....

 

I took out the front emblem and placed onto the engine as well.

 

02/26/22 UPDATE: Just got the emblems in from China and, yes, they are identical to the GM emblems down to the part number and sticky tape on the back! And at $32.50 shipped (and even cheaper if you buy two or more) that is less than half the price from GM! Figure about 2 weeks to ship from China.
