Anyone else unimpressed by the sound system in the c8? I have the bass turned all the way up and it's just meh. Not sure if something is wrong or if this is just how it is. I have the 2LT and AudioPilot turned on. The bass just doesn't seem as strong as I thought it would be for two 10's in the doors.
FWIW, a member posted the need to turn on an app: "App downloads the ability to really control the sound, and where you can adjust which speakers you want sound to come from for you. You Can make sound, to focus on Driver, Center of car, passenger etc. It allowed me to hear all the speakers, front and rear, left and right when balanced to center, an louder on rear ones."
It's been 16 months so I don't recall much more. BUT I do know it made a big difference. May have to search to get details but this is what I found.
It depends on your source. Satellite sounds like crap, just a little better than FM Radio and auxiliary input has notoriously been bad in my previous cars, so never tried it. If you use a high quality streaming service, it makes a huge difference. I use the Tidal streaming app as it has one of the highest quality streaming services and I either connect through Android Auto or BlueTooth. I found the sound is amazing and I come from a background of getting upgraded systems in a lot of my cars. So try a good source and as the other person said in this thread, turn on "Bose Audio Pilot"

I did not know about the App, but the capability you describe is similar to what I have with the 14 speaker system, although I don't know if it will address the OPs concern. It can be found under the DSP modes in the audio settings. Here is the Owner's Manual description of it:
I play mostly high rez FLAC files from a thumb drive, and I think the bass response is fine. i also don't listen to bass-heavy music except for some classic rock.
I would call myself a pseudo-audiophile. The 14 speaker Bose in mine sounds pretty darned good. Spotify through wireless CarPlay has plenty of bass and oomph.
Is it the best I’ve heard in a car? Not anywhere close. But it’s solid and good enough for me.
People who complain about not enough bass or can’t hear the radio I can’t help but think the source is off. Or some setting isnt set up correctly.
I listen to HD-FM and tracks I ripped from my CDs into FLAC files on a thumbdrive. I'm very pleased with the audio system. XM-Sirrus music is so compressed I do not listen to it.
This thread is scaring me a little. I just sold a 2020 Mustang California Special because I didn't like it. One of the things that really sucked was the sound from the premium B&O system. I've never met a Bose system in a Chevrolet product that didn't sound good though...
I never should have let the GM family but I didn't want to play the game with trying to buy a new Corvette last year when I bought the Mustang. I am now though because nothing else compares.

You are sitting today where I was in FEB 2020. No regrets joining the GM/C8 "family".
I have been listening to a hip hop station on the SiriusXM radio, just because of the bass in the music style. My organs rattle in my body from the amazing subs in the doors.
I love the sound system. I have the 2lt, which, i believe is the same system as the 3lt.
