I was looking into this also. I did not end up removing it, but I found a member who removed it for a radar detector install. I asked him for advice and this is what he said "Assuming you have the Coupe and NOT the HTC, for the back of the speaker cover clips, you have to lift the speaker cover straight up after the front clips are lose. It will be a little snug, but I found removing the top roof so you can place both knees on the seats and apply force on the cover while kneeling helps."
Front edge lifts up easily but it's held in the back somehow. Don't want to just "pull harder". Is there a detailed factory service manual available?
I was looking into how to get it off as well and found this...it's for swapping out the emblem, but it does show how to remove the waterfall speaker grill.
How does this come off?
