This is surprising to me... I don't suppose you have a gopro or something else to record high quality sound inside and outside?

I bought them separately not knowing it came with them. Once I opened the bag with the clamps, hours after I started, there were simulators in the bag.

Nice man! I was going to add an exhaust system but decided against it. Waste of $5k as this car won't be mine long when the Z06 comes out. If I did add one, this would be the system though.

Was the install difficult on the HTC? I only can find install videos on the coupes. Was just curious if the HTC install was any different.

I don’t think there is much difference. I would not say difficult, I would say it is a lot of steps. The hardest part is getting the rear end off. And I would suggest jacking it up and taking the tires off. I followed AWE’s instructions and did not take them off. That was my only mistake.

Awesome thanks for the response. Yea from all the videos I have watched it looks pretty straight forward. Most of the videos did say to take off the wheels as it makes it easier to get to the third bolt on the passenger side.

That 3rd one up top is a nut. Don’t drop it on the passenger side like we did. There is a vacuum canister or something like that there and it took us a long time to find it.

LANZ06. Did your install require any special tools? Looks like the exhaust connection is pretty far forward. Did you need a long extension to get to them? Thanks!

I have the AWE Track and its a LOT louder. I personally like it out of control, but this one isn't for everyone. In V4, I have to admit its not good. As soon as it flips to V4, it feels like a subwoofer pressurizing the cabin with the HTC closed.

That's good to hear! I had the AWE touring on my C7 and it sounded phenomenal! AWE will probably be the choice for my C8 as well!

Wrong!! Had AWE Track, Non-Resonated Catback Exhaust on my 19 ZL1 and never got black flagged for the exhaust. VIR, Pocono Raceway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Dominion Raceway, Summit Point, NCCAR, Pitt Race, and Daytona and NEVER, NEVER had any official make an issue about my exhaust. Now if you are talking about westcoast, might be completely different story, but I can attest that the above tracks do not have a maximum Db threshold.

Default Heat

Now that you've had the system in for awhile, any issues with heat?

I'm leaning toward the track also. I know you can always take it back to touring, but like you I like it aggressive. Any heat issues?

Getting AWE track installed on my C8 next week at Carlisle. I have to admit i'm a little nervous getting the Track as I was leaning towards the Touring HOWEVER the boss lady (my Wife) said she wanted loud and wanted to get the Track... All I said was be careful what you wish for and remember it was YOUR choice lol... I know we can go to Touring if it's just to crazy so we shall see!! I'm slotted from 1 to 3:30 on Thursday if anyone wants to hear the track and see the look on my wife's face lol!!!

Default Inatalled AWE Track this weekend

Picked up the car on the 8th from NCM with stock (non-npp) exhaust and as far as sound goes, it was a joke. Nice startup and that was the end of it. How you can make a car like this and get the exhaust so wrong is unreal. Buy a 100K car and have to mod the exhaust so it sounds like it looks is such a waste. So, this weekend, pulled that monster suitcase out and installed the AWE Track. Did it by myself in the garage without a lift. Toughest part has to be that top nut up in the fender on both sides. The rest of it was straight forward. Then there was that first startup. It is like an explosion, then it falls into a nice (loud) rumble. Finished it in the dark, so I have to get it out on the road today. You do not want to be standing next to this car and not know that someone is about to do a remote start. To sum it so far - very loud! I'll1 post again after driving it.
