Nothing wrong with being prepared in the event of an emergency. Whether this particular kit is the way to go is up for debate, but it could be better than nothing should circumstances warrant.

Lots of times. Mostly for either small cuts on my hands where I don't want to get blood on my clothes or the car controls. My wife has also used it many times with new shoes that rub her heel. That being said, I could survive with a small pack of band-aids. I also carry a tourniquet which I have never used but always carry in the kit because I have seen several lives saved because of them. To me it's like car insurance, you hope you never need it but if you do, you will be glad you have it. Plus this kit has the Corvette logo so it's like 3x more life saving than an unmarked kit.

Between the jumper cables, jacking pucks, neutral release tool, tow hooks, and first aid kit, it’s a good thing this thing comes with two trunks.

As previously stated, being prepared is good. You don’t need jumper cables if you carry a compact battery pack such as a Viking. Takes up much less space, will fit in one of the vertical pockets in the frunk net system. Along with the fire extinguisher which is the size of a railroad hazard flare and a tow hook.

Have you ever driven your car farther than the closest gas station or car show?

You continue in your fashion of whining about everything in the C8 design, yet you are on your second one. Puzzling.

After thousands of miles driving thru out all the 48 and never with one of these things on board means chances are I won't need one from here on out.... Yeah likely next to none .. One wouldn't want my kind of med knowledge anyway.... I can't even get the band aid out of the dammed wrapper!

[QUOTE=c5arlen;1604770968] I can't even get the band aid out of the dammed wrapper!

Which reminds me of an old friend who got a paper cut trying to open a band-aid...

I carry first aid kit both my cars, and last week at car show someone cut themselves and out came my first aid kits with everything we needed to clean the person wound including rubber gloves and clean him and bandage him up.

First time it came in handy, so you never know!

Since I am in the medical field I will further fortify the kit once it arrives.

While employed as a firearms instructor I carried a full trauma bag. That isn’t going to fit comfortably in any Corvette ever made. Including C1’s.

Now it’s band aids, an Ace type bandage, some BLEEDSTOP (name brand), because I am on blood thinner, first aid cream, tweezers, scissors, etc. A gallon size slide lock bag fits it all.

I’m on my first one and I was making fun of C8 owners, not the design. You must be thinking of another post.

I forgot to make fun of the guys who also carry a fire extinguisher. I’ve driven through most states in this country for over 40 years but you guys seem to come across trouble at every turn.
You must be moonlighting as Corvette driving first responders I guess.

Don’t forget the crash axe, tire inflator, compass, signal mirror, blankets, Advil, water….oh yeah and Altoids.

Here, the St John Ambulance attends many amateur races so in supporting them I bought their vehicle safety kits and rebranded them with our company logo and handed them out to many racers. The kit was about $30 but I am not sure if this is available in US . Vehicle Kit | St. John Ambulance Canada (sja.ca). I used mine on a motorcycles who fell off and at a social dance when a lady had a mishap with open toe shoes. I also carry an instant ice pack that has been used a few times.

I don't think my first aid kits have ever saved a life but they have saved me from giving someone a ride to the hospital and a few hours waiting there for a bandaid. Also stops bleeding all over my seats. See how humanitarian I am?

If you have training and supplies, you use them. When you don’t, you don’t. So a lot of people don’t need them because they never stop. Even if you don’t have training, having the supplies available for those with training is also useful. At one roll-over that was one car ahead of us, both a nurse and a doctor stopped and neither had supplies, but we had a full kit. To be fair those trips we were driving an Excursion or other SUV and had plenty of room for a good size kit.
My wife is a medical professional & I am trained in first responder first aid as well. We keep kits in all our vehicles and have had to use them a few times either stopping for an accident or rendering aid when an accident occurred in front of us. I also recommend you have in your kit or within reach in the cabin a window breaker. Some fit on your keychain or resemble a small hammer. Had to use one to get a driver out of her overturned suv one time before fire & paramedics arrived.

I ordered it and the safety package. I just thought it was cool. Could care less about the money. I carry a blow out kit in my brief case everyday. Both of my kids also carry one and they both know how to use it. They are adults. If you have never needed one, be grateful you didn't have to experience it. It is not pretty.

Not to worry. If I encounter you broken down, injured or with car on fire I will consider you as a fellow human being and attempt to render aid and/or assistance. That’s who I am.

Forgot. I carry a tire plug kit and a compressor along with bottled water and protein bars, acetaminophen, compass, signal mirror and flare signaling gun. Don’t have a pocket fisherman so that’s out. . Maybe could fix your flat tire.

While I would not buy this particular first aid kit, I have them in every car and have used the many times during my almost 50 years of driving. I surf 4 or 5 times each week and usually hike on the days that there are no waves. Small cuts (and an occasional big one) happen if you are not a couch potato. I have also helped out a couple of unprepared people during that time.
