Radar detector into the mirror and didn't burn out the outside mirror. $250 bux for the Blendmount bracket is highway robbery. Vette tax at its mostest.

Congrats! You did it! This issue is only for those who can’t wire red-red, black-black.

BTW, you haven’t seen a “Tax” until you’ve owned a 911.

Mine went in over the weekend, just finishing up a 1600 mile road trip without a hitch

Just hooked up my Blendmount a couple of days ago. Yes, expensive, but a quality product with adjustability. There was a promo code for the month of February for 10% off. The way I look at it is if it saves me one ticket, I got my moneys' worth. Some states it is illegal to have the radar detector attached to the windshield. However, attaching to the rearview mirror is legal.

Same here but spent $18 on suction cup holder for an R3. Easy.

I hear people having trouble wiring it. Is it as simple as just connecting red to red and black to black? How are so many people having trouble with that?

Correct, pry off small plastic cover behind mirror with plastic tool, insert thinest red probe to red and black to black. Wire can exit out top hole in plastic cover. As easy install as any car I have done (and I have done many). Someone plugged in the wrong wires a few months ago and fried an outside mirror and freaked everyone out thinking it required an electrical engineering degree.
