You know, I do not recall any posts about wrapping those items, but can't see any reason why it couldn't be done.

I definitely would have tried to wrap or paint the boomerang. However fortunately I chose the factory body color option.

I purchased the Carbon Flash wrap but I don’t want to take the door panels off for install. I’m going to see if my local guy can do it without removing them.

Just curious, since the OEM boomerangs are already carbon flash, why are you wrapping them in carbon flash?

The car was ordered with the Carbon Flash boomerangs but because of Covid they were on hold. They gave the option of reordering the car or getting them body color. So body color it was. I really want them Carbon Flash.

Interesting. I had never heard of any constraints on the boomerangs.

What color are your front/rear grille accents? Body color or Carbon Flash Metallic?

OR

"Now body color". How did they come from the factory?

It was all supposed to be Carbon Flash but that is how it came from the factory.

OK, if the side boomerangs and the front and rear grill accents all came in body color, it was not because of a shortage of the carbon flash versions (which have never been on constraint). Your car was ordered with the body color accents (or it was built incorrectly in BGA - unlikely, but not impossible):

EFY Exterior accents, body-color, side vents and front/rear grille accents
1 - Not available with exterior color (GBA) Black.
2 - Not available with exterior color (GBA) Black. Also includes tonneau grille.
Do you have your window sticker to confirm if EFY is on it? If not, scan the QR code on the edge of the drivers side door. That will get you a list of the RPOs although there is a limit on how many it will display.

My guess would be that the dealer dropped the ball and ordered it wrong and told him it was on constraint.

No EFY. I have EFA and EYT.

That explains it. EFA is Shadow Gray exterior accents. This would include the side vents as well as the front are rear grill accents.

EFA Exterior accents, Shadow Gray
EYT is the badges in carbon flash (standard):

EYT Carbon Flash Exterior Badge Package
So, your dealer ordered it that way. Had nothing to do with the side vents in carbon flash metallic being on constraint.

EFA is Shadow Gray accents, and it appears you have a Shadow Gray car. I think johnnycat is right.

Did you get an order sheet from the dealer before they placed the order with GM? If so, does it list EFA? If not, it looks like the dealer goofed when the entered the order in GM Workbench.

I just bought the painted to match veneers from RPI. They fit perfectly, you can’t even tell that they’re not completely OEM. They just fit on with a slight cup around each edge and a thin piece of bonding tape.
