Does anyone have a link to the layout of the engine coolant system?

Just for my understanding on the Right Rear #14 is marked "Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement". Is this where the Thermostat is located?

No. The engine thermostat location is shown here:

The Auxiliary radiators (if equipped) have additional in-line thermostats as shown below (item #2):

Thank you. Very interesting. I have never herd of or seen an in line radiator before. I had thought that the Z51 had an extra radiator on the left rear side but never knew there is another one. Does anyone know what temperature the engine thermostat is?

From what I found in the service manual, it should start to open at 188°F and be fully open at 206°F.

My car sometimes runs at 174*F. I am guessing it has a 170*F thermostat. Non Z51

Thanks for the info. Holy crap that is gonna be a lot of hoses to replace when they get old. Reminds me of the vanagon cooling system. If memory serves me, the frame rails were the conveyance feature on them.

My Z51 has gotten to 190* only once in over a year. Even when the ambient temperature is over 115* in the summer. Usually runs around 175* to 180* most of the time. That's why I am still wondering what the real thermostat is.
