You don't trust your sales rep to call you??

I heard March allocations are expected between the 15th and 17th.

Apparently the early March consensus was released today, with some dealerships getting fewer than expected allocations. Here's a link from a dealership in FL, that discusses some of the details: https://stingraychevroletcorvette.co...ntative-dates/

From their note, the following items are under constraint:

"Here are the rest of the details from our consensus notes, released this morning:

  • Rear Park assist deleted due to chip shortage since 1/24
    • Builds starting April 11th will get their car with functional Park Assist
    • Retrofit for cars with delete to begin Q4.
  • 0% availablility on ZZ3- Engine appearance and lighting package.
  • 0% availability on 5ZZ- High wing spoiler in Carbon Flash.
  • 0% availability on Magnetic ride control- FE2/FE4" (Note that this apparently includes both Non Z51 AND Z51 builds).

Paul Masse got 12 today after only getting 14 for the previous 3 months.
Edit: They got their consensus number today. Actual allocations next Thursday.

I must have lucky timing. I had a 1/28 production date and had rear park assist included.

For me, mag ride is a must and I would acutally defer my allocation if they could not build a car with mag ride. This will be a big deal to many if this is a long-term issue.

Me too! My 2LT HTC built 2/3 showed the 50.00 credit for rear park assist, but it is there and functioning.

Just my luck. I won the lottery on getting one of the Calloway 35th anniversary limited edition, and can’t even option it with mag ride. Anyone interested in getting a limited to 35 production build PM me. I’m not greedy.

It was a year ago that my allocation came thru. I still ended up not getting my car until mid August but then again there were several shut downs and 3 weeks they just made right hand steering Vettes. But I didn't have to pay the cost increase. And it's one awesome car! So you're on the final stretch!

They might be low on Mag Ride parts because of supply issues and want to save for Z06 which have it standard.

Consensus was 3-10-22 (Dealerships told how many allocations they will be given) and Dealerships are actually given their Allocations on 3-17-22 is my understanding of the process. Now someone might have not been notified yet that they are receiving a Allocation from their Dealership because the Dealership might be sorting out who to actually give this Hot Commodity to (Allocation) but most candidates have been told to submit or verify for accuracy their Build for submission. Dealership submission is due by midnight that following Tuesday 3-22-22 where you go to Event Code 2000 and you are finally in business and on your way to an actual C8.

And this is why I've always thought it was foolish of anyone to defer their order for any reason. I moved up months with the local dealer because people didn't want to take a winter delivery. Then I see people who wanted to wait for a 23 instead of getting one of the last 22s. There's no guarantees with these future orders. Hell, it could come down to they can only get enough mag ride parts to fulfill the ZO6 orders for the first half of the 23 run. No option for it on the base model going forward. In the current environment, I would remove it from my order, place the order, and ask to get put back on the list again with the intentions of driving this one until I can build one how I want it down the road. If you want to wait for everything to be perfect, you may never have a C8.
