Default C8 model gift from Chevrolet

Received the C8 model from Chevrolet the other day. The model is silver in color similar to my car. Is the only color of the model silver
or if for example you have a red car the model you received is red?
Thank you.

The paint used on the models is the same color paint used on your car. Everyone's model will match their car.

That's IF you ever receive it. I'm going on one year from date of purchase/delivery and not a peep. I've called everyone that I can think of to track it down with no success. I'll probably have my Z06 before I'll get my C8 SR Speed Model...

Its strange how GM picks and chooses who they send this kind of free stuff too. Makes no sense.

Got my red mist car in the mail about 4 months after picking my car up.

They send you the color YOU purchased. It requires the dealership to ask for it to be sent if I recall from another forum thread.

I got mine about a month ago after taking delivery in Sept 2021. It's a nice little paperweight except on mine the plaque that says "Corvette" is missing the C and reads "Orvette." A huge oversight. I almost don't even want to display it because of that lol. The fact that no one noticed this during the etching, shipping & fulfillment process is hilarious.

I heard a rumor that if you called the Corvette Concierge more than three times during the build process, then you are off the list.

Can anyone confirm if the dealer needs to ask for it to be sent? First time I've heard this.

Got my Red Mist HTC model about two weeks ago. Picked up my car at the NCM on September 17th last year. It came by Fed Ex.

I've read before that it's sent based upon information sent in by the dealer. Months after I received my model, my salesman asked if I received one. He had only just learned that there was such a gift. So it doesn't sound like any special action is required by the selling dealer, just reporting the name and address of the new owner to GM. I received my model 5 weeks after delivery.

Hope you get the model soon. I think I would inquire with the dealer and see if they sent the request in or if they can help you get your gift.

It is supposed to be automatically sent by Chevrolet to all original buyers of MY2020-2022 inclusive (probably 2023's as well) based upon the delivery paperwork submitted to Chevrolet at the time of purchase/delivery of your C8 by your Dealer. No additional paperwork is necessary for this promotional gift. However, there are clearly problems in the process of getting these to the original owner. I have seen posts where 2020 deliveries still have not received their respective Speed Model, and I took delivery of my C8 in April, 2021 and have not yet received my Speed Model, and no one seems able to help me locate/track it down...
