Default Stingray on rear deck

I was dusting the car and the duster caught the tail of the Stingray that is on the rear deck. In doing that the tail broke off. I removed the rest of the Stingray logo but it left a slightly raised impression on the deck. Has anyone had this happen and will the impression go away after it is in the sun for awhile or do I have to buy a new Stingray to cover the impression?
Thanks for your input.

I removed my Stingray emblem and there is no raised impression. Can you take a pic?

Just a guess but you probably “slightly” buckled the surface when you snagged & broke off the ray’s tail. Give a bit of time in the sun to see if it goes away. Good luck with it.👍

I bought the front cross flags emblem from this vendor. Can't tell from OEM -- even had GM part number stamped on back.
The Stingray in carbon flash or chrome is less than $20 shipped. Figure two weeks to your mailbox. Here is the jump:

It's probably adhesive left behind. Get some Goo Gone or 3M adhesive remover, and try that before anything else.

^ I agree. Hard to believe that any paint or piece of the body panel could be the cause of the raised area.
