Loaded my C8 on a U-Haul car hauler trailer yesterday, to bring it in for PPF and ceramic. When I backed off the trailer, the front lip of the trailer ripped off these rubber covers from underneath the car. Do you guys know if these are covering anything in particular, or are these just to redirect the wind away from the underside of the car?
I just happened to have snapped this picture before I unloaded the car. The covers that ripped off are the small triangular shaped ones on the inside, not near the edge of the car.

Reason: Added info
Those are definitely not brake ducts. I've installed the front brake ducts on my Z51 and the brake ducts are located much higher and take air thru the middle area of the grill. That is simply a belly cover and can easily be replaced.

Those are just an aerodynamic item under the car. People remove them. Useless they don't hurt anything.
People need to learn where their ducts are. Hint not in front of the tire.
I have to ask: why couldn't you drive the car to get it PPF'd?
As for what they are, just aero bits to deflect air around the front wheels, I think. Some people have removed them on purpose, so if you can't get them back on it's not likely to really hurt amything.
Thanks everyone. The PPF shop had an immediate opening to get my car in, and I didn’t have anyone to drive me back after dropping it off. I live an hour from the shop, so I was on my own. The local UHaul place had a trailer available. I’m picking the car up this evening, can’t wait to see how it turned out!

This is an old-ish thread, but since it got revived: It is called a lower deflector in the on line parts catalogs. It is called a front tire air deflector in the 2020 Service Manual. It is on both Z51 and non-Z51 but the part numbers are different. See all below.
did you have front lift? will the front lift prevented it from happening?
The front lift would have definitely prevented that. My car doesn't have that option. It ended up being the front deflector, $130 and a simple DIY replacement.
lol! sorry for reviving an old thread but I was just looking for options in transporting my vehicle whether a uhaul auto transporter is adequate. I have used a 8.5 x 21 enclosed trailer and dually dodge ram for the C8 when I got it from museum delivery but not sure if I can just use the uhaul one with bumper pull with my escalade.

You can absolutely use the Escalade and a UHaul car trailer. Use wood blocks under the front tires while on the trailer if you don't have the front lift.

Thanks! Yes maybe a half inch or 1 inch wooden plank just so it clears the stop.
