What’s your take on the new 35th anniversary Callaway that’s being built ? Anyone think it will have any collector value ? Car will be almost 135-140k with taxes out the door in coupe trim . They are only making 35 cars .

No, reason is that it's only an appearance package with zero performance changes.
I tend to agree the Collector value will be limited. I was disappointed that a Callaway Edition didn't have a big power bump.
i was comparing to the C8R package which only made 1000 cars and are selling between 135-170. You don’t think it should be able to fetch a few extra bucks no ? . I have a slot to grab one if i want and i am considering it .

And folks who are paying those prices for the C8R are fools, nothing special on those cars that you cannot get on a regular C8 with the exception being the decals !

oh, it's going to be worth something. Just not as collectible as a power bumped edition would be. I would still like to have one.
Yeah......in an earlier article there was an indication of a power bump.....the Honker cold air intake and a ported manifold intake. But it seems suddenly that just disappeared. Having said that alone, it's probably just a 25 hp bump not worth mentioning when compared to the previous editions.
I would sell a kidney for just the rear diffuser and center exhaust on the Callaway but don’t care for any of the rest of it. Deff not at the price point either
You would've already had to put in your order with RPO code by this last Thursday the 17th. It was only for the last allocation cycle of 22MY. I'm number 13/35. As far as I know they're all spoken for, Ciocca and McMulkin alone accounted for almost half of them from what I was told. So unless you're buying an already spec'd one from a dealer that ordered one. Alot of them were requested by dealers themselves, as not many people that called Callaway also happened to be next in line at their dealer for an allocation as I was. So I'm curious how all of those dealers are going to go about it if say their next in line people weren't interested, or they had people interested, but way down their list. Because the first thing Sheldon asked me when I called, and my dealer when he called them to verify I was their next allocation was "Is it for MSRP?" . They were pretty adamant about them being sold for MSRP and no mark ups or they would move on to the next dealer. That being said, I agree it is expensive for not having performance parts like a supercharger in the past, but people saying there's not going to be a market for it are delusional when the C8R had much less to it, only cost $7k more for the package, and had alot less exclusivity. Let's be real the Callaway looks sooo much better with the center exit exhaust and rear diffuser, plus has forged wheels that actually have the correct offset. But still, the C8R has been sold for $40-50k over. Hell, one even sold at Barrett-Jackson for $300k. These will sell on the auction/resell market, and theyll be around $200k count on it.

sheldon told me he cannot control if dealers sell over Msrp. Either way if you think it can grab 200k sounds like there is potential upside.
They cant control it but they were trying to weed out any that planned to. They only gave them to dealers that said it was for MSRP. Id imagine there were alot of lies told with that question.
I talked to Andy at Evergreen Chevrolet near Seattle on Saturday. They have a loaded Silver 2022 HTC that is on its way to Calloway. He said it is available. I believe he said the price was $147K.
July? Why July? The last 2022s are built in May. July would make it a 2023 and I don’t think they’re doing 2023s with Callaway we can’t even order 2023s yet.
