If I toss the towel, probably. Did you do it yourself?

truthfully, any car wax or polish applied properly to a clean washed surface that is already in good shape, will do that. but yours does look good.

I use Honda Glaze Polish every few years on my 2005 Goldwing.
It's like the ceramic coatings that body shops apply as it bonds into the clear coat.
After a wash, if it needs wax, I use Pledge on an old cotton sock to shine it up. Otherwise, a chamois and soft cotton towel will shine it up nicely.
I plan on doing the same to the Corvette.

There are all kinds of products to take care of your car.
All of them are the best for the people who use them.
Just don't drive around in a dirty C8.

Liquid wax and my collection of clean old cotton t-shirts do it for me.

Your car looks awesome, but to you question, yes, a towel will do that on mine and I just use paste wax.

Mine is a year old, not polished, and does that after I wash it.

What's the point? You wouldn't believe it if you saw it. Just for grins I went out and did it and sure enough it slid right off and I used a Griot's Garage microfiber drying towel, not some fluffy soft towel like in the post.

Finally got to see the towel test and was not what I expected. I thought I would see a towel accelerate flying off the hood but it decelerates. Any .50 cents of wax will do that.
