Sorry if there is already a dedicated thread for this but I didn't see anything when I searched "Mods." If there isn't a dedicated thread, maybe others can start posting their mods in this thread. Got the car yesterday and immediately switched out the wheels. Today I put a new engine cover on. (I painted it myself.) I also installed my own engine appearance panels. Hard to see much of the engine bay but I was pretty impressed at how clear and clean I got the engine compartment glass.

Depends where you live BUT in our rural area I would not drive a C8 without Side Skirts (also added the same to my two C7's.) The reason can be clearly seen on top pic below. My install of a C7 Carbon copy of GM 5VM next.
This is a DIY PDF of my install: http://netwelding.com/Side_Skirts.pdf
Following the 11 pages of pics with long captions are Links to similar DIYs of ~50 others, many for the C8, like: 1) installing mesh to protect the AC Condensers, 2) inexpensive engine compartment lights, 3) if yours is a Z51, a must low dust brake pads, 4) low restriction air cleaner, 5) taping the mirror for radar detector power, 6) plastic front coilover covers to stop water intrusion 7) quick assemble egg crate for trunk to stop spilled milk etc. and others.
Pic of tracker showing where track rubber hit his car, That is where pebbles thrown by the front tires (even with GM Splash Guards) will mark your rocker panels
My C7 Carbon copy of GM 5VM side skirts and splitter.
Latest. Took the idea of some on here and added my own lights. The one pic show where I installed the LED lights. I painted them black so they blend in. I placed the arrows to show where they are.
