I've been there to Alamogordo twice in the last 2-3 years to visit my nephew who was stationed there in the USAF. He has since been transferred to LA now.
Plenty of nice roads and scenery to enjoy your new C8 there.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I don't see the green like people talk about but my wife, who is never on the forum, says to me "the greenish tint is cool".It was a great 60 mile drive back home. The stereo... Well I had my concerns due to the posts about it but IMHO it's the best car stereo that I have ever owned! I just came out of a 2020 Mustang California SPecial convertible with the best factory stereo offered and it was hands down the worse one I have ever had, just saying. So all you Bose haters, go listen to the B&O stereo in a Mustang...
Ride was good in tour mode. I did have a lot of tire noise on one of the roads. It reminded me of the 2012 Grand Sport that I should have never sold...
Seat back is a little tight and my right leg did start getting a little numb at the end of my drive. I'll have to play with the seat position a bit. I'll say this though, the seat bottom didn't seem to have much padding.
It took forever at the dealer for the finance office to get the "ok" from the credit union. I tried to avoid that by putting in my credit ap last Friday. They did run my credit but after that I guess it just sat on someone's desk until yesterday.
There was a $1,800 charge for paint protectant, wheel locks and window tint that I had no knowledge of. First instinct was to fight but for two things. 1) the protectant was already applied so my plans to clay bar and what not were already ruined and 2) I've never sucessfully got a dealer to not charge me for that kind of stuff once it's been done. I started to object but relented because I didn't think I would win and I didn't want to ruin the experience and taint the car...
Well I need to go watch some videos to learn how this and that works :0
Thanks,
-Bob
Good luck and enjoy your new ride

Thanks to Mike Furman and the entire Criswell organization. Could not have been much easier. Love the Car, way beyond expectations

My dealership put a similar 1,400.00 package on mine. I was so stressed thinking they were going to try to add 10-20K onto the price I was relieved to hear 1,400.00. Then they gave me an 500.00 off the car because of the wait. So 900.00 I could live with. I’ve never paid near sticker or let dealers get away with these kind of charges until this year. Even my 6th gen Camaro I ordered when they first came out I got 4,500.00 off. Crazy year for the car market!!
