Have owned my white C8 for eleven months and already covered nearly 10,000 enjoyable miles. I enter car shows but mainly own the Corvette for road trip vacations. I believe Corvettes are for driving not just status symbols. Have had no mechanical problems and good fuel economy. Who else drives their C8 and what has been your experience?

Great to hear you’ve had no issues. I averaged 7500 miles a year on my 17Z and loved it. Hopefully I can put more miles on the C8. I to don’t understand those that only go through one or 2 tanks of gas a year🤣. I feel bad for the car👍🏻

Picked my 2020 up on November 27 2020. As of now I am at 13000 miles. None of those are from commuting to an office. Cars are born to be driven 👍
No, cars aren't born, they are manufactured to be sold at a profit. And to be purchased and enjoyed in anyway the purchaser sees fit, whether driven 20,000 per year or just occasionally driven.

Actually I'm a blast at parties, I just don't call it a party when the "I drive my Corvette everyday in rain, sleet or snow" owners always turn these threads into let's belittle those who choose not to. You know the, "garage queen", "saving it for the next guy", like letting someone else bang your girlfriend, no one ever said on their deathbed I wish I had driven my Corvettes wisecracks.
Some of you guys act like driving your Corvettes everyday is the proudest thing you've done in your life and get so bothered by those who don't.

No one is belittling anyone here. You came in here to be a jerk with a victim complex. Not sure how that benefits anyone. But you do you I guess...
Not beating the horse. Just stating I don’t UNDERSTAND it. I don’t drive my sports car in bad weather or daily. However I do enjoy driving the hell out of it every chance I get😁
I took possession of my C8 in November and transitioned from the C7 forums to those of the C8 at that time. Since then I have noticed there are numerous people on this C8 board that, to put it nicely, have an attitude. Just an observation.

I wouldn't worry....Some peeps will spend a metric **** ton on a car and sit in the garage and drink beer and look at it instead of driving it might tend to be on the sensitive side or not... Or maybe they are just afraid the tranny will puke or they will break a rocker arm or drop a valve...or they might just like keeping it new for when they decide they want a new toy to look at...but at least it is their money and it is the good ole USA after all...Well mostly.

There's many good reasons some don't drive their Corvettes extensively, I'm sure you have a good one, not that you own anyone a a reason.
My reason is easy to understand. It's that I have 4 vehicles that I enjoy driving. I primarily drive my Corvettes on weekend mornings on the twisty back country roads around my property. It's very relaxing after a long stressful week.
And my other vehicles are much more practical for running errands or going places with my grandchildren.

I agree, there's all kinds of reasons some don't daily drive their Corvettes. Some reasons may not make sense to all of us but it's their money so why should anyone else care. As long as people are buying Corvettes, regardless of reason or how they enjoy them it's good for the Corvette brand and community.
A long time Corvette friend of mine has 75>80 corvettes, (all years, I sold him quite a few of them) stored in a well-kept warehouse and never drives any of them just enjoys having them. Some may thing that's strange, I don't, I think it's pretty

Yes, some not only had attitudes, but call other members Jerks.
I will chime in. I don’t drive mine often because if I do it loses the special feel for me. I get bored of cars easy so I try to only drive mine when the mood is right

I had 20,000 miles on my 2020 when I traded it for a 2022 in Feb. The only problem I had which was never fixed after two trips to the dealer was the wet floor in the passenger compartment.
