I’ve heard that the dipped natural interior seen only on 3LT has a problem with reflection glare from the windshield? True??
Many opinions on this. Net: if wear polarizing sunglasses, no issue. Others have said, even without sunglasses, not an issue. Some others, there is an issue.
Personally, I thought about natural dip, but wanted a contrast with black. Of course, that’s a personal decision. I felt if wanted ND, it wasn’t an issue for me. Others will disagree, which is fine.

non issue in my opinion. Also if it bothers you then you can always switch out the instrument panel cover for a black one. Someone here did that. Cost $300 installed.
It's not a glare, it is a reflection. I wear polarized sunglasses when driving and it is a non-issue for me. I don't even notice it anymore but everyone is different and some people can't get over it. Know which kind of person you are before you commit.
For me, the worst part about it is the PDR videos. I played around with putting a polarized filter over the lens but haven't followed up with anything permanent.
Here's the $300 option. As others have indicated it's really not an issue after 10 minutes behind the windshield. Polarized sunglasses virtually eliminate any glare. I swapped out the instrument hood because I liked the way it looked with the existing Black on the dash and the Tan stitching matched the airbag cover on the steering wheel. In addition, it does eliminate the major source of glare in the windshield. The Natural Dipped interior is beautiful and the Black accessory floor mats with tan stitching solves the dirty mat problem.
It does look great, does anyone have a picture of the 3LT Natural vs. Natural Dipped interior?
I am interested in Red Mist and Natural interior for my future Z06.
I have it. In 20 minutes of driving you forget all about it. Doesn't bother me but its MUCH MUCH cooler (I mean in temperature) than black.
The carpets get dirty to I replaced them with black. Still looks just as good with black carpets.
All that's needed for dirty carpets is this stuff. It's mazing, had black differential grease on my saddle carpets after a service visit and this stuff removed it like it was never there.
I had the chance to check out the natural dipped interior and like many have said, the reflective glare was terrible...I also couldn't get past that the color is very yellow (not a favorite color).
It isn't just a matter of whether one likes or dislikes the dipped natural interior. It's about a particular person being able to physically/mentally tolerate the reflections it causes. I for one love the natural dipped interior and it would be my first choice if I could tolerate the reflections in the windshield - but I can't. Maybe it has something to do with a fairly common eye disease (Keratoconus) I've been dealing with most of my life that is known to cause extreme sensitivity to glare. My wife and friends would be the first to tell you that my brain is wired differently that those of most people. I function poorly in bright light that doesn't bother most people. Friends call me "Prince of Darkness"! I've tried rental cars with light color dashboard tops and they were miserable experiences.
I wish the C8 was offered with an all black dashboard and an otherwise all natural dipped interior but of course it isn't. I can't even tolerate the light colored "hockey stick" reflections in the C8 windshield so I backed off to an all black 2LT interior but with GT2 seats to at least get the supposedly nicer leather on the seats.
I'm glad the "stealth interior" was introduced for 2023. Another old fart at a Corvette club gathering last year complained about glare from the aluminum dashboard trim in his 2020 C8 coupe. I was planning to have the aluminum trim on the dashboard wrapped to eliminate potential glare but now I won't have to.
Windshield reflections from light color dash tops aren't just an issue with the C8. Here's the warning that Porsche has on its build and price website:
A word about interior color choices:
Glass is reflective. Certain lighting conditions may cause a lighter color dashboard to produce a noticeable reflection on the inside of the windshield. To make certain that you are satisfied with your selection, ask your Porsche dealer to arrange a test drive experience in a variety of conditions, including with use of polarized sunglasses.
We're getting a Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo (5-passenger station wagon, LOL!) that has been forecasted to arrive late this year. I like the natural dipped interior on the C8 so much that I'm trying to reproduce it in the Porsche as closely as possible but with an all black dashboard. This is what the interior in our Panamera will look like with the type of all black dashboard that I wish I could get in the C8.
I'm getting close - waiting for my C8 salesman to confirm my specs (and probably take my money) so he can place the order!
