Default Question on '23's Interior

I had once read that the interior, the "buttress wall" is supposed to be changed for the '23 model year. Does anyone know about this?

That does not appear to be happening. The 2023 visualizer shows the wall of buttons, and such a change would have been noted in the 2023 model press releases.

Default Thanks 👍

After reading your post I was able to find a picture of a 3LT adrenaline red dipped interior. Yes, no change.

That new adrenaline red dipped interior is NICE.

After driving the C8 for a month, I actually really like the wall of buttons. You feel that you are in your own cockpit and the buttons look and feel high tech to me while in this cockpit.
I'm sure that if they kept the same layout but just lowered the wall to be at or slightly higher than the center console, it would still work but not a big deal if they keep it the same.

That was an unsourced rumor reported by one of the less reliable blogs. Few expected it to actually happen.

It is the same for '23.

We took delivery on March 22, and I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the button wall, but I actually like it too. You very quickly become familiar with the location of everything, and I like all the controls in easy reach.

My guess is that GM won't change the interior until the next generation (C9) comes out. Even though it was supposedly reported that the new GM Design Chief (Michael Simcoe) wasn't enamored with the wall of buttons when he stepped into his new position to replace Ed Welburn, redesigning the interior just for that doesn't seem a likely possibility. I don't honestly think GM would re-tool for that given the high demand for the C8. Only time I could see them even considering that is if C8 demand drastically slowed and they needed something "different" (i.e. a refreshed look) to help spark sales. With current C8 sales at an all-time high, and Z06 production getting ready, I think GM is focusing on the models to come (i.e. E-Ray, ZR1, and Zora).

That being said, IF an all electric model C8 Vette were to come out, that might prompt GM to refresh the look both inside and out to give it a different appeal, kind of like what they're doing to the EV Equinox and Blazer models. While a more subtle "wall of button" would be nice, I just don't see it happening for the C8 in the years to come. JMHO.
