How well do these dyed stitches hold up over time using a marker?
People have been doing it since 2014 and mostly everyone has stated it’s still looking great. The one review I read that said it faded was by someone that admitted to using a common highlighter instead of a specific fabric dye pen like the Marvy Uchida.
What stitching are you asking about?
I have a 2LT with two-tone red/black GT2 seats and all the stitching on my interior came red from the factory.
Yes on black interior. The wife likes the Red Mist and black seems to go best. Still working on her to do HSG with that Black and Red two tone. Looks sweet👍🏻
These thin marker-style fabric pens with fine tips are ideal for adding detailed patterns and details to craft projects, garment customization, and fashion design. Moreover, you may create customized embossed gifts by combining this pen marker with a Marvy Uchida embossing heat tool model 2500. These non-toxic markers offer an almost limitless amount of creativity when it comes to making one-of-a-kind presents for friends and family and durable designs thanks to their large selection of colors and versatility when it comes to fabrics and surfaces.
I have a 2023 HTC 3LT Torch red with Black interior, Sueded steering wheel with sued seat insets & carbon fiber interior. it has white stitching , I since have learned if I had added the red Stitching I would of had more sued in the car, Door panels, console, dash , You live and you learn
I had a 3LT with black interior like folks said came with white stitches. Took a dye pen and did them in red. I did notice a little fading where you sit so had to touch up a couple of times. It takes time but looked a lot better since I had a Red Mist exterior.
Can you elaborate more on how to get more suede components by selecting red stitching?
The red stitching seems to be included with some red interiors but has to be added on others.
Not sure how to get the extra suede components.
Thanks.
To get red stitching on all black interior you need to choose 3LT. 3LT includes alcantara (suede type material) on the headliner, A pillars, visors. So you get more alcantara because you have to step up to 3LT to get red stitching on black interior, not because of the red stitching specifically.

Unless a recent change that's not totally true. Yes the 3LT gives you the extra suede regardless of color interior. If you order a black interior 3LT you get white stitches. To get Red stitches you have to order the "Adrenaline Red custom leather stitching" option for $495.
Contrasting stitching on seats, instrument panel, doors and console

I know that. I ordered both 3LT & red stitching. I was answering a specific question, and I believe I made it clear that 3LT is what gets you the extra alcantara. Obviously 3LT wouldn't automatically give you red stitching. That wouldn't make sense...

Ok sorry misunderstood when you said "you have to step up to 3LT to get red stitching" made me think you were saying you get this automatically without selecting another option.
