Some do, some don't. 1LTs do not have it. Some 2/3LTs build in Q1 did not get it due to chip shortage, but are eligible to have it added by the dealer at no charge once available.

Heated steering wheels on the C8 were NEVER impacted by a chip shortage. That was an incorrect rumor started by a certain YouTube salesman. Rear Park Assist was impacted by a chip shortage.

Read the GM Authority article in that thread:

The feature reduction is said to affect over a dozen nameplates, including the Chevy Colorado, Chevy Blazer, Chevy Equinox, GMC Canyon, and GMC Terrain. The Chevy Silverado and Chevy Traverse are also affected, with the exception of High Country trim levels, as are GMC Sierra and GMC Acadia models, with the exception of Denali trim levels.
No mention of Corvette. The fact is that the heated steering wheel and heated seats on the Corvette were NEVER impact by the chip shortage.

As further proof that the Heated Steering Wheel in the Corvette was never impacted by the chip shortage, all of the other models that were impacted had their Online Order/Reference Guide updated to reflect the impact. For example, for the Blazer:

  • Interior section-(KI3) Steering wheel, heated, updated availability on 1RS and 0HD to Reference only "A" with a footnote 1 that reads "Vehicles built prior to November 22, 2021 include heated steering wheel. Certain vehicles built on or after November 22, 2021, will be forced to include (00G) Not Equipped with Heated Steering Wheel, which removes heated steering wheel. See dealer for details or the window label for the features on a specific vehicle."
  • Interior section-Added (00G) Not Equipped with Heated Steering Wheel, see dealer for details. It is Reference only "A" on 1RS and 0HD with a footnote 1 that reads "Vehicles built prior to November 22, 2021 include heated steering wheel. Certain vehicles built on or after November 22, 2021, will be forced to include (00G) Not Equipped with Heated Steering Wheel, which removes heated steering wheel. See the window label for the features on a specific vehicle."
The Corvette Order/Reference Guide has no such information on the heated steering wheel. It does, however have similar information for the rear park assist which was impacted by the chip shortage:

  • Exterior section-(UD7) Rear Park Assist, added a footnote 1 to all equipment groups that reads "Vehicles built prior to January 24, 2022 include Rear Park Assist. Certain vehicles built on or after January 24, 2022, will be forced to include (00Y) Not Equipped with Rear Park Assist, which removes Rear Park Assist. See dealer for details or the window label for the features on a specific vehicle."
  • Exterior section-Added (00Y) Not Equipped with Rear Park Assist, see dealer for details. It is "A" on all equipment groups with a footnote 1 that reads "Vehicles built prior to January 24, 2022 include Rear Park Assist. Certain vehicles built on or after January 24, 2022, will be forced to include (00Y) Not Equipped with Rear Park Assist, which removes Rear Park Assist. See the window label for the features on a specific vehicle."
Bottom line - Chevy updates the Online Order/Reference Guide anytime there is a chip shortage that impacts feature availability. There has never been such an update on the Corvette Online Order/Reference Guide concerning the heated steering wheel.

It's on my Q1 built '22, and Rear Park Assist was indeed left off. I'm told to expect a Q4 retrofit.

Also FWIW, I have heated steering wheels in a RAM 1500 and a Porsche Cayman 718S, and the C8 wheel is by far the hottest.

I wouldn't even call him a car salesman any more. He's really more of a YouTube personality.

The question, which you quoted, says 2LT, so whether 1LTs have it or not is immaterial.

Agreed, and while he’s at it, he passes along false information and rumors, posting them (the rumors), as fact. He has gotten worse since the C8 generation came out.

Reminds me of a few forum regulars who post here and on the C7 forum.

I wonder if anyone can actually find the video with him saying it was on constraint......I don't think he ever said that, it was a constraint on some gm vehicles...Prove me wrong...lol

Nice feature for the C8 - wish GM had include a heated steering wheel on the C7 along with the heated/ventilated seats.
