I have a new set of C8 standard splash guards which I am contemplating installing. Do I really need? Going to PPF the bottom of my car . Any before and after pix please.
Thank you
I would recommend installing them. Tires are large and throw a lot of small rocks/road sediment so it would be wise IMO. I have ACS guards on mine which are a little longer and don’t take away anything from the look of the car so why not?

The PPF will get beat up and you will need to replace it if you don't use the splash guards. Besides, they look OK and if you aren't looking for them they are invisible. Trust me, they will save your paint and you will be really happy with them.

Thx for the advice
Nothing to lose by installing them and will add some protection to the car.
At left are the GM OEM splash guards. At right are the Chinese clones.
The difference is the finish. On the GM splash guard there is a fine grain finish. On the clone there is a faux-carbon fiber finish. They are both the same length and width.
The length and width are the same, none of them are "extended".
The Genuine GM parts are available for $56.95 for the frond pair and $56.95 for the rears from
They also have the Jake/Weathertech floor mats and the Jake/Weathetech frunk and trunk liners, as well as the rear fascia protector. They are in Florida.
