Default Space behind seats

I have not been able to look inside a C8 and mine should be delivered in the next few months. Is there any room behind the seats for a women’s purse or other small items if the seats are all the way back.

Basically, no. I can keep a small collapsible umbrella in the corner near the door and that's it.

You need to be careful putting anything behind the seats. If you trigger the limit travel switches (under the carpet on the bulkhead), memory seat operation will become erratic.

Thanks for the quick response I kind of figured that but I was hoping for something better.

If your passenger is short, there is some room if the seat positioned forward. I suppose the same applies to a short driver. My wife is 5' 2"'

If she is short might be OK. BUT only tilt you have for the back is the electric adjustment. In addition there is a switch behind the carpet at the back of the seat that prevents the seat from move back too far. Could not have the seat exit position set back if you have memory seats.

I was planning on storing my sunshade behind the passenger seat while driving. Is that not a good choice?

Probably not, but the velcro strap on most roll-up sunshades sticks nicely to the trunk carpet. Mine is stuck above the cargo net, flush with the lid when closed. You don't lose any cargo space, and it's out of the way for loading and unloading.

NO - not much space BEHIND the seats, even for a short person.

YES - on putting the sun shade behind the passenger seat if it is folded tightly. My sunshade is the thin collapsible type that folds flat.

Since I put the radar detector on the visor I need a hat sometimes. I keep it behind the seat. I'm short.

It is a cover craft sunshade. Rigid and folds up to be about 2" thick. I would hate to have to pop the trunk/frunk everytime I get in or out of the car to put it away. It's too hot in Phoenix half the year to be messing around outside.

If there’s a will there’s a way. There’s a bit of a gap (unless you have really long legs). Bet you can fit a purse between there and it’ll sit.

I rarely carry a passenger with me. I've repurposed my old C5 2-bottle carrier. It's attached to the carpeted area just below the top of firewall area, behind the passenger seat. There's also enough room to store my 2 piece shade that you twist, then fold. I also keep a laminated 3-page cheat sheet of some of the C8's important features and how to use them. I keep that behind the driver's seat.

Very small glove box, my wife keeps a hat in hers (C8 is hers) and I get to carry the purse, LOL. No extra room in the cockpit, but you get 8 inches more leg room than my C7.
and it is way fun to drive😛
