What should I have installed or what do you suggest?

Get the prime xr but you can probably get a better deal than that.

I just had XR plus 35% done on my 2 windows and rear HTC window . Here in NY I paid 350. I have it only a week but love it so far . If not for NY laws I would have done 25-30% . Even at 35% I can have a issue here , that’s why I need to move from here lol. Good luck with your decision.

I also have Prime XR Plus 35% on the 2 windows and rear HTC window, no issues to report and would recommend it. I paid $400. I don't have anything on the windshield.

I’ve called 3 places and the best price for the prime XR is $200 for sides windows and $350 for windshield.

As i just posted in another thread, if it matters to anyone I failed inspection with 35% tint due to factory tint + 35% tint = 29%. I had to have the side windows redone with 45%. 45% + factory tint now reads 37.5% with the light meter. Max allowed in MA is 35% and you can't tint the windshield other than across the top. You can go as dark as you want behind the driver (so I left the HTC rear window at 35%)

Tint shops have tint meters to make sure you pass before inspection. Shop should have applied a piece of scrap tint to check light tranmission.

I did the Xpel Tint in legal for Texas to include the windshield and happy with the results

They should have but there was a miscommunication. The shop that did my PPF/paint correction/ceramic brought in an outside person to do the tint and told him use 35% rather than say the the final result needed to be 35% or above. So the tinter just did what he was told.
