Hello, this is my first time posting but I was wondering if anyone in the Southeast area happens to have a Caffeine C8. I would really like to see one in person as I still have not been able to see one in person and I want to make sure it’s the color I’m in love with before I order. This is the one I want and I wanna show off how I built my spec online.
There's not that many of them (385 in 2022) as not a very popular C8 color . I saw a couple at Carlisle last August, and thought they looked pretty good, but more a truck color IMO. The only interior I feel looks good with caffeine is natural.
I’d call the big 3 ask when one is expected and fly to wherever u must to see it in person. It’s a huge decision as color is important especially when going with a limited demand option.
I was in the same situation…I called Ciocca and they had one on the showroom floor.
I stopped by on my way to Florida last December….I really liked it when I saw it.
‘It is a heavy metallic color that really pops in the sun…
I have one on order right now…
You could contact the museum in bowling Green and see if they have one. It’s a few hours away from you but you can really check out many c8’s and the museum is pretty cool anyways.
I saw my first one today at a show but it was overcast. Just looked like a dark brown without sun hitting to give it any highlights. Left my phone in the car so no pics unfortunately. Had Grey interior as well. Not for me but still a nice car.
I'm struggling with color choices too. Will be going to BG soon to see as many colors in person as well as I don't think pics or the config sites will really help one make the decision

I was up in Bowling Green last month and I saw one in the museum in person and let me say it looks way better in person then photos. I believe you will be happy with it, just my 2-cents.

And therein lies the problem. I had high hopes for Caffeine, which I think looks classy as hell with the natural interior. Was thinking stock wheels which I'd have gotten painted/powder-coated/whatever to the pewter color. It was a must to see in person, which I did at Carlisle 2021. GM had one under the tent, plus a panel so you could take it outside and look at it under the sun. The panel looked really good in the sun; a rich, deep, hyper-metallic root beer. But, under the tent none of that happened; really was a dark brown and quite underwhelming. Knowing how much I do the "lookback" (even in my garage) and using the car as a daily-driver (meaning LOTS of cloudy days) I decided on another color.
I don't begrudge anybody Caffeine; having a unique color which will look awesome in the sunlight has its charms. But, I strongly believe nobody should order this color without seeing it in person first.
All of those 70 s gold tan colors . I had a 240z. We now refer to that color group as "old man tan" PLEASE do not go with gold or mustard wheels.
Yes, but the problem with that viewpoint is that colors that were once popular, then die out, can suddenly become trendy again. That hasn't proven to be the case with either Zeus or Caffeine on C8. Most car companies hire consultants on color trends to help with their choices, and sometimes they are right, sometimes wrong.
Orange is a good example. It was huge in the 60's and 70's on performance cars, died out, but has become a popular offering for many manufacturers starting about 5 years ago.
I have a 2023 Caf Brn Metallic on order. I first saw one in person, up close and touching it, IN SUNLIGHT, and it was gorgeous. In the shade it isn't as striking; it is still beautiful but the metallic component is not as obvious until you have the car in bright sun. I've had Corvettes painted black, white, silver, gray, 3 bright reds, and 2 bright yellows, so I thought I'd try something else.
