Default Xpel / Ceramic?

Is it common practice putting a ceramic coat over an Xpel PPF?
Just want to PPF the front bumper and headlights. Then ceramic coat over the whole car including the PPF.
Thanks

Yes it’s common practice and per XPEL, it doesn’t affect their films “self healing” properties.

Default This is my plan

Yes, this is my plan, also. In fact, I’m holding off on any major driving until my appt on June 13. I’m getting the Xpel track package (front end complete, pillars, mirrors, rocker panels, behind rear tire area) then Modesta ceramic over entire car. Also doing the STEK Dyna for the windshield. Not everyone agrees, but it will at least give me some protection and peace of mind.

I have seen posts here on the forum about putting ceramic coating over PPF. Nothing wrong with doing so from what I understand.

I did on mine. Partial coverage with STEK PPF and coated entire car with CarPros ceramic coating.

PPF is for rock chips. Ceramic is for faster wash/dry and some paint protection such as tree sap/bird poop

The new STEK Dyna seems to have an edge over ClearPlex; two installers tell me. It’s clearer and easier to work with. Time will tell.

People do it. If your car spends a lot of time outside then ceramic on the PPF its worth it.
If not then not really.

Not really a question about is it worth doing ceramic over the PPF, it was about if there is any reason you should not coat over the Xpel PPF.
