Is it supposed to have sound? I heard some people say that it does. No sound out of mine
Yes, but may only be noticeable with certain audio tracks. There were earlier posts of someone finding the wiring was not connected in their car at the speaker. They removed the speaker cover and connected the wire.
Go into fade and balance and set all the speakers to the very rear. You hear about nothing coming out of them. Not sure what the point is.
Maybe that speaker is reserved for pumping the fake engine sound in to the cabin? heh. Can't wait to play around with mine to see what the deal is. Part of me wonders how good it would even be to have a full-range speaker right next to your right ear.

The sound coming out of mine is minimal at best. As suggested, I had to set all the fade to the rear just to make sure they were working. I wonder if there is a way to change that to a better speaker?
A full range speaker that mixes a little left track and a little right track for a more full ambient sound. Not intended to be loud, just helps fill the cabin a little. Your system is stereo so only 2 channels...this is Bose idea of a quasi- center channel...
I only noticed sound coming out when I set the equalizer to “Centerpoint”and even then it was very low in volume compared to the other speakers. However I found that Centerpoint doesn’t offer the best sound to my taste. Not concerned at all about it as I love the stereo sound on the C8.
