Default Front Lift Limitations?

Hey all, another in my series of dopey questions... Are there any driving limitations associated with the front end lift feature? That is, can the car be driven normally if the front end is raised? Is there a speed limitation? Can the front end be raised or lowered with the car in motion? I have no intention of driving the car with the front end raised, as I can't see any advantage to doing so, but regardless, I'm curious if any limitations exist. Thanks in advance for any information I can get.

It will automatically lower at 26 mph (or somewhere around that speed).

And you can operate the lift while the car is in motion

Thank you, guys! I guess I presumed that the car would have some sort of built in protection if that were necessary, and you confirmed it, so many thanks again. I won't be challenging that automatic action, but good to know it exists, in the unlikely event I raise the car and forget to lower it back down.

As long as we're on the topic, does anyone know the approximate distance the from the center point the lift action takes place if you use the GPS settings to raise the front end? Notonne know. a critical question, just curious if anyone knows. I can, of course, do my own testing, as well.

I incorrectly stated the lift raise/lower speed at 26 mph, it is actually 24 mph. I just let it lower by speed all the time. The manual says it will automatically lower 197' from the GPS location but I'm usually above 24 mph by that point. I assume the lift point is a similar 197', seems about right.

There are no limitations to driving and when front end is lifted you will not really notice. Front lift starts to drop at 24 mph and takes about 3 seconds. You can raise/lower while car is in motion. If you press Front Lift and raise you can push a second time and lower but no need to. Lift will drop based on location and/or speed and when you stop the engine.

As far as GPS, when approaching a speed bump or driveway etc you just push the front lift button and you can save that location to memory. There are 1000 locations you can store. Remember, this is not magic so you need to see the bump to react with the button so I often don't see bumps at night or in the rain. I find I still need to slow down over speed bumps but don't need to crawl over them.

Will it stop scrapes: No. It will reduce them but you need to see the bump. Today I turned into a apartment building driveway, almost pressed the lift, decided not to and a very short scrape.

And, be aware that when you turn the car off, the front lift will lower automatically.

All but the statement, "You can raise/lower while car is in motion." Only up to 24 mph! Won't lift beyond that speed.

And if the OP really wanted to to make it hop like folks with hydraulic suspension, you covered with your 3 seconds! It's moving like a turtle not a rabbit!

There’s a whole series of videos on YouTube produced by Chevrolet titled, “Accelerated Preparation”. They review many features of the C8 Corvette. Watching them will probably answer many questions you may have regarding the C8. Here is the one pertaining to Front Lift:
