Default Museum Delivery Question

Good morning everyone. First post from a new member here. I’ve owned two C5s previously, and on the list for a C8 with Mike Furman at Criswell. I’m planning a museum delivery as I only live about 45 minutes from Bowling Green, and I’ve seen that they will install some items like spoilers and ground effects, but I can’t find if they will install aftermarket parts, or only the GM parts. Their website only lists the GM parts, but it looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2020 and I thought I read in a few threads that some folks had American Hydrocarbon parts installed there at delivery. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Give Shane at the museum a call - he can answer any question you may have.

They do install some aftermarket. They are doing American Hydrocarbon 1VM skirts and Scrape Armor grill guards for me. Sent Shane a list of what I was looking at, he confirmed and gave me price

Did you purchase grill guards through Shane or do they only install them (and you purchase separately)?

I was told that you must purchase then separately and then could have them shipped to the NCM and installed. Coordinate with Shane.

Purchased myself and shipped to NCM. The museum store does sell some stuff as well, and understand they will walk it to Shane, but not required

They installed aftermarket splash guards and the mask for the drive home for me. I shipped them the splash guards and bought the mask fro the museum store and they sent it over to Shane, It was either $20 or $25 for each to be installed.

Welcome to the forum. I don't know if your dealer has informed you about the Ron Fellows C8 Owner's School at Spring Mountain in Nevada. GM pays for 1/3rd of it and it is well worth it. I owned my C5 for 13 years before I bought a C7 and went to the C7 owner's school in 2015. That school will teach you a lot about the C8 and your driving skills. I have already signed up for the C8 owners school because this car is not like any of the other Corvettes I've owned. All you need is your VIN number and you can call them to register when you get your car.

They will be installing the radiator screens and the wider splash guards as part of the PDI for my delivery. All aftermarket parts... cost $125 for the install.

That’s awesome! I had no idea. I’ll look into it. Thanks for the info!
