My dealer says the 7500 mile service does not include the transmission filter change. Everything I read says it is included. Where can I find GM’s official information about this? Thanks.
Apparently different dealers have different interpretations of what's covered. I've got an appointment next week for the warranty coverage and my dealer is even telling me the trans fluid is completely drained and refilled with new fluid as part of it. I wasn't going to argue or correct him but I'll wait and see. I'll make sure I first get it in writing so they can't come back later and try to charge me.
Run away from this dealer as fast and as far away as you can and find you a reputable dealer. Obviously if they don’t know the filter is included they are either full of $hit or don’t have a clue and I wouldn’t let them touch my car.

Agreed. If you have to educate the service department on something, then that's a sign to go somewhere else. Especially something like this which has been this way for years at this point.
Thanks but that is not the actual service bulletin, it is just an article from Corvette Blogger. I need the actual service bulletin also, not a reference, as my dealer is also declining this as well as the transmission fluid flush.
The service bulletin 5384826 just explains how to change the filtrer, what I need is the actual GM memo or anything else I can show the dealer that came directly from GM. I have searched the GM website and that service bulletin number does not come up, Thanks, I need more than an article from Corvette Blogger to show my dealer.

Just had my tans and oil 7,500 mile yesterday. Dealers first time on a c8. They did not agree or know about free trans flush and filter when I first called. They called back after a day or so and agreed 1st trans filter and flush free. Low volume dealer. I was their first 7,500 car. All went fine. Good dealer. Midwest in Kearney Ne. Not all dealers have time to worship the ground corvette drive on. Lol.
GM's offer is a one time shot. If you do your free oil change prior to the DCT filter work they have no way to charge back to GM for the work as there is only one open "free ticket" per car. When the oil change is done separately they charge back to GM and close the open "ticket". I got stuck in this same wicket at three different dealers..
I just made an appointment for August. Dealer told me in advance to preschedule to be sure they had everything they needed. No question that oil, filter, tranny filter and top off will be covered at no charge. Car will be one year old and about 5,000 miles by then.

This, from the Owners Manual says that the transmission fluid filter must be changed at 7500 miles during the break in period. Unfortunately it does not say its part of the free service, although the free service is supposed to be whatever is required in the first maintenance visit. I find the connection between 7500 miles, and "break in" period interesting. My dealer did the full free service at 2500 miles, including the filter change and top off. I will have to pay to have the next one done which I will do at 7500 miles or three years whichever happens first. At three year, a full transmission fluid replacement is required anyway.

Thanks but I'm still looking for the service bulletin or memo that states the transmission flush and filter are free during the first service so that I can show my dealer.

The OP should log into chevy.com/owner and click on the "warranty" page. It will show that the first maintenance visit is covered within 24 months of the in-service date.

From the dealer side i can tell you this is 100% true. When we buy used C8s some of them have been closed already and we are unable to process the warranty claim on the trans filter service because the customer only had the oil change done.
Anyone gone through issues with this service after a DCT replacement? My engine is coming up to the 7,500-mile mark but the replaced transmission only has 4,000 miles on it. Dealer said "Don't know"!
