I just got a 2020 Z51. Filled it up but the DIC says 190 mi left of range. Avg gas mileage is running 24 over two days driving. Is there something I need to do or do I have a fault in the DIC
It's the algorithm estimating your current range based on past and current driving conditions. Just drive the car and it will learn & adjust. My guess is the car spent a lot of time idling or being moved around a dealership and not actually being driven out on the road. Same thing with brand new cars, takes a full tank or two (depending on conditions) before it starts actually getting accurate.

Drive it for a while. The range estimate is based on previous driving history. Depending on how you drive, the range may go up.
It changes with each drive and tank of gas. I love it when It gives me a range after in town driving then getting out on the freeway. I've sometimes driven 30 miles or more down the freeway and had it report a range greater than I had when I started the drive.
To double check things. ..... At each fill up, reset the trip computer, either 1 or 2. That way you can see the reported average for that particular tank. While driving scroll to see the mileage reported for the drive you're presently doing. .. and watch the gas gauge to estimate the fuel remaining. That gauge seems pretty accurate .. i.e. at 1/2 tank fill up, it take about 9 gallons and at 3/4 tank gone a bit over 13 gallons. .. Now you can estimate gallons left vs.economy for the drive you're doing.
I find it useful on roadtrips; that's about the only time I pay attn to it.
And on roadtrips, with the excellent MPG when the engine is at temp and you are cruising in V4, the range actually increases as you drive - for awhile, at least...

It’s all in how you’ve driven it: Some of the track cars we use at work show the driving range is 50 miles on a full tank, because they are only driven hard.
GM's Distance to Empty calculation is based (heavily or entirely) on very recent driving. I don't know exactly what distance (or time) it uses, but it seems like the it is the last 25-50 miles or so. If you drove a bunch in-town before a fill-up, you'll see a low distance to empty number. If you immediately hop on the highway, you'll probably see that number increase pretty quickly.
