Good morning all! After searching several C8 forums and finding nothing comparable, I thought I would put this out for consideration. We took delivery of our 2022 C8 on the 1st of February and have about 4500 trouble free miles since, right up until to 2 days ago. The top down function goes as follows over a 2 day period: works on both primary and secondary fobs, works on only the secondary fob, works on neither but the door switch works, door switch no longer works. I tried to lower the top while moving slightly over 30 mph, knowing the car must be under 30, and received the message to reduce speed. I've tried the battery disconnect with no happy ending. There are no codes or messages showing in DIC. I have not checked any fuses as this occurred over a 2 day period. when trying to lower the top, all the lights come on, including backup, and signals flash twice. Someone out there must know that this indicates something, but I haven't been able to find out what. This all occurred after a 200 plus mile day one and over 235 mile day 2. Next stop, a competent dealer.I'm still looking for a qualified dealer in the Portland OR area other than Suburban. Thanks for listening😁
I am embarrassed to admit that my HTC non functioning issue involved operator error. After the last oil level check I apparently did not get the dipstick/oil fill cover properly seated and it fouled the nearby sensor. I was told the issue is common enough to warrant a service bulletin, but I would have thought that would have been noticed here. To be sure, I will be much more diligent in the future.
Once cause is that the windows might need to be indexed. There is troubleshooting section in the manual - if you have gone through that list and not been able to correct it, then the dealer may be the next action.
Hi Guys!
Both windows are and were indexed, the top has not been subject to repeat close order operation, it's been over 90 degrees here for over a week, the car was on a battery tender over night. Problems began after a days driving. Every other fob operation performs as expected. There are no messages in DIC, of any sort. My local dealer is out to August 8 for an appointment, first world problem.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know what the issue was. Most would just let this fade to the background.
To verify that the access hole plug is fully seated, open the folding top stowage compartment. (Fig. 11) Refer to Opening the Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid – Engine Access section within Folding Top and Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Operation in the appropriate Service Information.

As a guess, perhaps service mode will still work to let you raise the tonneau?
Dear jmb1978, you may feel embarassed but you should be proud to be willing to tell us the root cause of what happen.
We may all do this mistake and get to the same problem.
At least now, because of you, we will know what to do without having to go to the dealer.
Many thanks for that!
