I’m going to be ordering a 1LZ Z06 with Z07 in the next couple of weeks. I’ve had a 2022 HTC 1LT. I got the base GT1 leather seats in that car. I really want to go with the comp seats. My hesitation is having the performance textile fabric. It’s hard for me to think of $135,000 car having cloth seats. For people that have had the 1LT competition seats does the fabric feel high-quality? How does it wear? Do you regret getting the competition seats in the 1LT trim? I’m not asking for advice on the competition seats versus the other seats. I’m strictly asking about the performance textile fabric. Thanks
I would describe them as durable and functional....they don't look low quality, they just don't look luxurious. I have another C8 on order with the same seats and personally I think the 1LT seats with Mulan leather look cheaper than comp seats with textile. I can't imagine they are going to wear worse than Mulan leather.
I have the Comp seats in my 2022 HTC 1LT with 12k miles and they still look new. I had a 2021 with GT1 seats and the Comp seats look so much better IMO.
The pics Stu_d showed above are a good representation of the look.
Throwing my 2 cents in here. I'm a retired textile chemist. I think this high performance fabric is called Modacrylic. It's not new. The fabric peps are trying to find new ways to get there fabric into new markets of which the automotive fabric market is a very big.
