While my C8 is not the first car I have ever bought, it is the first one I have ever factory ordered to my specifications. And man did I go through some combos. Part of the fun was getting my kids involved who each helped with input. Ultimately, my now 14 yo son (13 at time of ordering) helped push me over on certain things like the high wing and Rapid Blue color. And to be honest, he nailed it. I have gotten endless compliments in the color. So, naturally, he likes to tell people that he designed my car. So I decided to make sure that everyone knows. Went down to my local Things Remembered and had them help me out with a little bit of personalization. I think it came out great. Can’t wait to see his reaction when he finally sees it.

I was torn between TR and RB. TR was my initial gut, so I eventually went with that. After seeing some at a car show, all my kids liked the RB better. So, it seems that RB is a color that appeals to the kiddos. I mean, it appealed to me too, but when torn, I go with my first instinct.

I first saw the C8 in person at Carlisle in 2019 and I knew for sure I was going to order TR with the Black and Tan interior. Told everyone I knew that’s how I was ordering it. Well……we see how that went

Great idea. We, too, made our kid part of the excitement, including her name with us on the personalized plate received with museum delivery. It is tough to justify a two seater for a family of three without finding a way to make it a family toy.

It's fun getting others involved!

All of my 6 Vettes were "made just for me in BG!" Who wants a car some sales manager picked color options, accessories, wheels etc he "thinks" I might like? My 1st two, a 1988 and 1993 were Red. The '93 was the 40th Anniversary model that came in Ruby Red exterior and interior.

For my 3rd a 2008 C6 did not want another Red so let daughter, two granddaughters and my wife choose, and majority won! It was between Atomic Orange and Velocity Yellow. That year GM said they only had so many colors where they could make tintcoat and they were putting another color in tintcoat so one had to go. That was Atomic Orange. Pic below is my Yellow tintcoat C6!

Had two C7s, one Red the other White. For my C8 color was my most difficult decision. Knew it would be a Z51, with MRC and Lift. Wheels would be like those machined faced on my 2017 Grand Sport. BUT color was a very difficult choice. Looked at many pics and interior combo's, as my hold-a-spot order was made before any C8's were in production. Wife and I went through the options and back to another Red with LBR! Wife loved the Natural Dipped interior. It's fun getting help with colors!

Choice between Atomic Orange and velocity Yellow for my C6. GM removed "tintcoat" from Atomic Orange that year, so the bottom pic is the Velocity Yellow Tintcoat were voted to get!

Why was it that you didn't order it with the Personalized Plaque w/Name and VIN while ordering it initially? Option Code BV4.

It wasn’t something I had planned to do. The idea happened to pop into my head recently so I gave it a shot. Came out better than I thought.

Great thought to have it done aftermarket. I ordered it and with the NCM logo and VIN also, can't wait to see how it comes out. Bet your son is so proud to show that to others!
