Default 1LT/2LT Infotainment System Differences

So it is time for me to submit my build sheet to MacMulkin. I am trying to decide if I will go with a 1LT or 2LT. Most of the differences I understand, but I am having a hard time figuring out the difference between the two infotainment systems. The 1LT has the “infotainment 3 plus system” and the 2LT has the “infotainment 3 premium system with navigation”. The 2LT system appears to have all 1LT features, plus “enhanced” (as opposed to regular) voice recognition, and Navigation. I also am aware that there are more speakers on the 2LT. Are there any other significant infotainment differences that I should be aware of? Here is how the 1LT system is described on build and price:

CHEVROLET INFOTAINMENT 3 PLUS SYSTEM WITH 8" DIAGONAL HD COLOR TOUCHSCREEN
  • 8" diagonal HD color touchscreen1
  • Bluetooth®2 audio streaming for two active devices for compatible phones
  • Voice recognition
  • In-vehicle apps3 capable
  • Cloud4 connected personalization for select infotainment and vehicle settings
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay™ capability for compatible phones5
  • Wireless Android Auto™ capability for compatible phones6

1 Functionality varies by model. Full functionality requires compatible Bluetooth® and smartphone, and USB connectivity for some devices.
2 Go to chevrolet.com/device-compatibility to find out which phones are compatible with the vehicle. Full Bluetooth feature functionality varies by device, model, and software version.
3 Additional data plan rates may apply. Third-party trademarks are the property of their respective third-party owners and used under agreement. Requires plan and paid AT&T vehicle data plan or compatible device with 3G/4G LTE tethering data plan. See onstar.com for details and limitations.
4 Requires Connected Access, active connected services or OnStar plan. Services are subject to user terms and limitations and vary by vehicle model. See onstar.com for details.
5 Vehicle user interface is a product of Apple and its terms and privacy statements apply. Requires compatible iPhone and data plan rates apply. Apple CarPlay is a trademark of Apple Inc. Siri, iPhone and Apple Music are trademarks for Apple Inc, registered in the U.S. and other countries.
6 Vehicle user interface is a product of Google™ and its terms and privacy statements apply. Requires the Android Auto app on Google Play and a compatible Android™ smartphone. Data plan rates apply. You can check which smartphones are compatible at g.co/androidauto/requirements. Android Auto is a trademark of Google

To expand on 2LT having GM's proprietary GPS/Navigation system, 1LT won't but lets you use Android Auto/Apple Car Play (which makes the difference a non-issue to me).

You can option the Premium system into the 1LT so you'll get GM's Nav and PDR. Limitations of optioning that on 1LT that only 2LT has: Don't think you get 14-speakers, PDR shift indicator appears on HUD which 1LT lacks.

Yes, this is the IOT option code that I have on my 1LT. I also have the $15/mo. Onstar Connected Car plan which give me real time Nav traffic, and the infotainment apps (Spotify, Pandora, WSJ, etc.). I really like it.

As an fyi, people can also get this using Android Auto or Apple Car play via Waze and also get alerted to things like police presence and objects in the road. You also get incredibly accurate voice recognition saying things out loud like "take me to the nearest police station" or whatever. Great features imo that the stock nav system and OnStar just cant compete with.

I believe both the 10 and 14 speaker system includes 10" woofers in the doors. The 14 speaker gets two 1" tweeters in the doors and rear dashboard i believe. Anyone have a schematic to confirm that? What's the amplifier power output for each?

The infotainment differences are probably the least important difference between the 1LT and 2LT. Don't make the choice based on that. With CarPlay, the 1LT is pretty well featured.

The big differences are the front camera, Blind spot monitoring, the HUD, PDR, heated/vented seats, and folding side mirrors. If you can live without those features, I would save the $7k.

For the first time ever, 1LT really isn't looking that bad - 1LT w/ Z51 is still pretty flipping amazing.
