I'm 80 years, 11, months old..... Been driving since 1957. I hope to live long enough and maintain good enough health to make 1,000,000 miles in Corvettes.
Some people decided to stay home. I made another choice: have lived, worked, played, in 58 countries (5 continents) and all 50 states - have had Vettes in 46 of the lower 48. I am a retired Navy photojournalist, then, later, an international magazine editor out of Italy. (Bragging: have driven the Stelvio three times)
I made a choice at 20 - that I'd never own a house - that I'd travel, drive great cars, meet people, learn, educate myself - formally and informally -- eat and drink exceptionally well... and did I mention travel?
Here's to everyone who just loves cars and loves what the world has to offer!
Wow, That's quite a history. I do admire you for choosing your own path, not following the social norm. It is amazing how everybody has a different lifestyle, and only a few have a very unique lifestyle. For me it has been cars, drafted into the Army, played in a top 40 band on the road, engineering school, raced SCCA, bought a house at 44, got married at 50, retired at 70. All of those are big life changing experiences. Owned 5 Corvettes, just sold my C6, waiting for my C8. I'm looking forward to the C8 being another one of those life changing experiences. Start of a new chapter. Looking forward to car clubs and cruises.
