We bought our last Corvette in 2015 from Kerbeck(now Ciocca). It was a 2016 Z51 and we loved it. We had it for 4 years and sold it. My wife now thinks that we need a new one. I have just started researching and while inventories are low, it seems to be getting better. Has anyone ordered from the big dealers(Kerbeck/Ciocca, Macmulkin, or Criswell) within the past couple months? If so, what are they saying that delivery time is? And, are they charging above MSRP? We want to do the Museum delivery this time, does that delay the process? I wanted to get some information before contacting them. Thanks for any info!
MM is between 10-12 months, selling at MSRP. I would suspect the other "big" corvette dealers are selling at MSRP as well, but don't know what their wait times may be. If you want the car sooner than that, you will have to make some phone calls to smaller corvette dealers and see if they have an allocation you might be able to snag! Or pay this crazy ADM and get one tomorrow!
One other thing to keep in mind is that as they ramp up Z06 production, regular C8 production will drop since they're made on the same assembly line. So time frames may be longer once they get up to speed. They are projecting 10% for Z06 right now the last I read.
I got on the waitlists at the top four Corvette dealers on November 1, 2021(for MSRP). MM came through with an allocation first. And, I would characterize the process at MM as communicative, efficient and professional. They even did a hat trick by protecting everyone on the MM waitlist against the second price increase for model year 2023.
A few weeks passed until my MM order reached a target production week. I never heard a peep from the other dealers until I requested a refund of my deposits with cancellation; refunds received.
The car should be built tomorrow and I am scheduled for NCM delivery on September 7. So far, I have only praise for MM and the NCM.
Your wife is wise beyond her years. If you get in line with the waitlist approach, to pass the time I recommend reading the Owner’s Manual (above under Stickies - not 2024 yet) and explore this body of knowledge known as the Corvette Forum. Keep us informed.
You might get lucky with a local dealer that will have an allocation. I did and received my C8 in 3 months. Get on multiple dealer lists NOW and wait your turn.
I had good luck with a local dealer as well, helped by a couple of folks in front of me sticking with their constrained builds (high wing spoiler was one of them). Check out all of the small MSRP dealers near you as well as the big hitters.
I will say MM all the way if you want to pay msrp and get it in about 12 months unless you are one of the lucky ones and get one at a local dealer but it’s going to take a lot of phone calls to get one to get you an allocation for msrp

Have done museum delivery on my 2015 and my 2021. In both cases it did not delay delivery. Museum is very good about working with you to select a date that works for you. I would also suggest you plan to spend the better part of the day at the museum. Maybe factory tours, that used to be part of museum delivery, may be back on by your delivery time.
