C8 Red Engine Covers

I see Chevy quietly discontinued the red engine covers for 23 orders. I wonder how many will get those that ordered them? They do have the sterling silver option though.

is it permanently discontinued, or just on constraint? There was a fire at the plant that manufactures the Edge Red paint, so it was unavailable for a while, but should be back in production soon. Maybe as early as next week.

Its odd they removed the Edge red engine cover from the configurator, but not the Edge red calipers.

Hopefully it's back. I personally like the red cover better, but then I ordered a torch red......

I believe the calipers are powder coated and may be made by a different company.

I was just able to place my order last week. Both the calipers and engine cover were not available (had to order bright red for the calipers). I am hoping to order the engine cover after delivery. Not sure why they show the calipers (but are on constraint) and eliminated the engine cover (which appears to be available to order as a post delivery GM accessory)….

I bought an aftermarket cover and the big decision was which red! My 2020 is Long Brach Red Metallic and didn't want two close reds to clash- which they will.

I decided since the engine cover was close to the Edge Red valve covers and separated by a lot of Black from the fenders in the engine compartment, I'd match the valve covers. Happy I made that choice.

Had the same concern abut red calipers that were close to the fender and would clash. I decided Yellow would work but in the end, decided Black was best!

Happy with my choice
