OEM Material Question
Hey y’all—
Long time lurker as I planned my first Corvette buy. Currently have a ‘23 in production!
I’m hoping to get the OEM rear diffuser and front splitter painted by a local body shop, but need to know what they’re made of first! Is it carbon fiber or another material?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Both are? I read elsewhere it was ABS plastic but wanted to confirm.
Thanks again!

The front is PP-EPDM. I think the rear is too. It's rubber reinforced with polypropylene

When mine was rear ended, the diffuser sure looked like splintered fiberglass to me.
The rear fascia is ABS though.

Seems like this is confirmed now that two folks agreed. Thanks for the input!

As much as my splitter had scraped pavement, if it were fiberglass it would be history by now. It's also way more flexible than fiberglass would be. The link C8 BG KY posted indicates it's TPO, which is Thermoplastic Polyolefin.

Fiberglass would be a really bad choice of material for this part. Half the Z51s on the road would have broken splitters by now.
