Default Launch control failure?

Or user error?

Sport or track mode- on
Double press traction control and both warning lights- on
Depress brake peddle through the floor - done
Depress accelerator- done

Spits and sputters, won't go over 2100 rpm. I have used it before with no issue but been a while. Am I forgetting something?

Pretty sure you have to hold the traction control button down for 10 seconds to get the 2nd nanny to turn off. I think if you press it twice it turns off the 1st nanny and then turns it back on with the 2nd press.

Hope that’s not too confusing, lol

On your steering wheel, right push to Launch Mode. Press brake pedal hard and accelerate at the same time to 3500 rpm and release the brake.

The two button push to disable traction control is a push, wait for display to show TC off, then push again, see Competitive Mode. Then you're set. That's for a non-Z51 in Sport or Track, Z51 in Sport mode or non-MagRide. For Z51 with MagRide/PTM, you do different steps basically the same pushes in Track mode, but that enabled PTM, should be in PTM Sport or higher for launch control. There are plenty of videos on YouTube that show how to do it.

For a Z51 car with Mag Ride out it in track mode. Keeping steering wheel straight you have to depress the brake very hard. Press until it does not go any further. Then fully depress the go peddle. Needs to be on the floor. The computer will limit your revs. Then just let go of the brake and let the car do the rest.

Its called rapid exit from a double paddle declutch. Look up rapid exit in your owner's manual. The details of it change a little for 2023 and then for 2024. But the basic feature is in all manual.
