First impressions
Intercitylines delivered my car Tuesday morning at 8AM and of course it was raining. Surprisingly it did not melt.
I spent about an hour looking over just about every inch of the car and found no issues at all. MacMulkin did an outstanding job with PDI and intercitylines did their own Inspection before loading the car. They even cover the car even though it is in an enclosed trailer. Fitment is excellent, body panels are aligned and did not find any areas around the doors, rear hatch and frunk that have irregularities in spacing, no paint issues around headlights. I have not found any scratches or defects in the paint. I checked the gap and found no areas that appear to be tight. Interior stitching is perfect and no issues with the leather seats especially side bolster areas with creasing or unevenness.
I know some have mentioned that the ventilated seats were not effective. Maybe a change was made for the 2023 model year but the air flow is very good. Compared to my daily drivers ventilated seats, which I use often in the summer months and do a great job, are just as good. Heated seats get very warm and the heated steering wheel provides warmth around the entire wheel. Seats are extremely comfortable and the side bolsters and lumbar offer added support.
Definitely going to have to get use to the rear view camera and need to adjust the side view mirrors to get the best view. I will never truly experience all this car can deliver and it is begging to be let loose. I have only used my mode and touring mode but very happy with how it handles and hugs curves. Exceleration is smooth and the throttle is responsive. I did ceramic coat the wheels, Q99 wheels with two coats of Griot’s Garage 3 in 1 Ceramic wax. I know the Z51 package with the larger brakes produces much more dust, but so far I am not experiencing a lot of dust but will continue to check.
I cannot believe it is finally in my garage and looking forward to enjoying every mile.
