That's what it felt like. I was at the dealership to get service on my Jeep and the GM whom I've known for years told me when he saw me there. Better than a phone call!

I'm really pretty lucky. My dealer is a large dealership as a whole, but a smaller store here in Newton, IA. I specked out and put my order in on Aug 4. They enter them in the dealer workbench right away as there isn't much of a line like the big dealers--I think I was 2nd. He notified me of my allocation yesterday Oct 14th. I'd say that's pretty damn good.

Actually my deposit was $1000, and the selling price is MSRP. I will never pay an adjusted market value or whatever some dealerships do.

I'm now at 3000, so we'll see how it moves along and how long the wait. I might be waiting until after the holidays with the shutdown, but we'll see!

It will arrive in time to store it until spring. Oh well, helluva Christmas present!
